  • Growing up now is different. Social media, academic and social pressure, and the desire for “perfection” have made it even more difficult to navigate the tricky waters of adolescence and young adulthood.

  • Adolescents often feel that they don’t have a voice. They show this through anger, self-harm behaviors, or just shutting down.

  • Trauma, depression, and anxiety often look different in adolescents than they do in adults. It’s important to find a professional that understands these differences.

  • When your adolescent is struggling or you are struggling with the many changes of adulthood, it can feel like you are alone, and nobody understands.

I'm here to help.

I specialize in working with adolescents and young adults ages 12-21 on these issues. I work with you and your adolescent to identify what’s causing stress and find solutions together. My experience in the mental health, crisis, and education fields can help navigate these systems and find what works.

About me

Meghan Epstein MA, LPC, NCC

I want to applaud you for having the insight to seek services and look forward to guiding and empowering you and your adolescent as you take the steps necessary to incite change in your life.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor who has worked in the mental health field with children, adolescents, and families since 2015 as a school-based clinician. I earned my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Colorado Denver and graduated in 2015. I have also worked with crisis services to assess safety and need for increased services. Before that, I worked at a diverse school as a Spanish teacher.

My approach combines cognitive behavioral, solution-focused, and client-centered counseling. I am also trained in EMDR to further aid my clients in processing past experiences. I will tailor the dialogue and treatment plan to meet the unique and specific needs of your situation. With the right tools, you, your child, adolescent, and family will be well equipped to deal with what lies ahead.

Nice Work. We're going to try this exercise again though. This time, try to select no more than 10 high priority values.

Great job. Now sort the values in order of your least to your most important.
